Shagies: Only the strong survive

It’s not too long ago that we also said goodbye to Shagies at a venue at Chymes. Luckily for Shagies, and for us a goodbye means only that we won’t see them anymore at that location. Be it renovation or becoming victims of increasingly greedy landlords, Shagies seems to be able to rise from the ashes and reappear somewhere else in no time. 

And rightfully so. The band remains top class entertainment, and can get any crowd going. Initially the expectations of the regulars at the new location will need to be slightly adjusted but with Shagies ability to switch from the tackiest pop request to the coolest rock songs ever I am sure they will be equally entertaining to all and probably bring in quite a bit of the Shagies loyals, me included. 

I vaguely remember I "discovered" Shagies for my self when they were playing down the block, which means I have been a fan ever since I came to live in Singapore

I am not going to elaborate much more about this band I have used up quite a bit of superlatives in a previous post, but for those who do not know who is behind it all, I’ll introduce the band and share the shots I collected last night. 

Curtain will fall tonight Saturday 30 August 2014. I bet, that will be an even crazier event. Consider this a warm up
